Brand New Book Explores Another Side of God

It’s not something that everyone gives much thought to, the innocent nature of God. But according to the author T. Russell Benedict, it’s intrinsic to the very character of God Himself. But what does it mean, in real terms?

Among other things, innocence includes being free of guilt, being untainted by negative intentions, and in some ways, even being oblivious to the very knowledge of evil. Do these ideas apply to the ‘Big Man upstairs’? They sure do!

To get a deeper grip on the very nature of innocence, the author then takes us into the innocence of the children, and how they react to things around them. And by drawing parallels between the two, he reveals for new levels to the nature of God as well, and why He sometimes does the things He does that don’t make sense at first.

So given that God has this innocence embedded in his nature, how does it affect how He deals with Man in general? Can understanding this innocence add to our overall understanding of His deeper character? Can we reach a deeper understanding of, and appreciation for, His holiness, mercy, and love? Will it help us reach a better understanding of His deeply rooted senses of Justice, Fairness, and even Jealousy? The answer is a resounding Yes!

Can understanding His innocence help answer why He created us, why He created Satan, why He created Hell, and even why He chose to allow His son to die a cruel death on Earth? The answer here is also YES.

But then the author takes us into the ramifications of his discussion. How should we respond to this innocence in the nature of God? What response should come from us? If God is truly innocent by nature, does He really deserve to get the anger, hate, and disrespect that people so often dish out on Him? Would we do the same to a child?

This book, available at http://www.TheInnocenceOfGod.com in both ebook and paperback forms, challenges some of the assumptions that we make every day about God. You can’t read this paperback without having at least a few new insights of your own, on some level. It’s the kind of book that leaves you pondering its message, long after you finish it. It belongs on the shelf of every person wanting to understand God and their own place in this universe better.
