Why do people abuse Fire Fighters?
Although this is a shocking and bold title it does happen every single day across the world and it certainly deserves a place on one of most sickening things you can do to anyone. Firemen and women are out there everyday fighting to save lives, stop huge forest fires and what do they get in return, abuse both verbal and physical by local gangs who think it is hilarious. Would they find it such a game if it was them stuck in a fire with another gang distracting the team?
What kind of mentality to you have to be in to wake up think, “I am going to throw rocks at fire engines today”. Surely it must be a mental condition. The worst thing possible is that young people are doing it. The majority of the young people in Britain are fine it is just the odd few who make the rest of the country blame everyone.
South Wales has been hit hard with this as 111 cases of abuse have been reported in just three years. Not one of these cases have led to a capture, imprisonment or punishment of any kind leaving the question open, do the police want them to do this? No they do not which is why they are soon to be adding CCTV cameras to many of the engines to make sure this can prosecute the people doing it. If an example was made of these people then it might teach others to actually stop and think before doing such a awful thing.
Wales is a nice place to visit in its own right and crime as a whole is a lot lower than many other places across Great Britain. Why not think about going on one of those UK family holidays. Family days out is another great way to enjoy Wales.
